So TikTok has this thing called Profile View History. Basically, it lets you see who’s been creeping on your profile over the last 30 days. It’s kind of cool if you’re nosy like that. But not everyone knows how to turn it on, and yeah, it can be a little buggy sometimes.
Here’s how to turn it on, turn it off, check it, or fix it if it’s being weird.
How to Turn On Profile Views on TikTok
Alright, to get this feature working, here’s what you need to do:
- Open the TikTok app and tap on your profile (bottom right).
- Hit the three-line menu icon (top right corner).
- Go to Settings and privacy.
- Tap Privacy, then look for Profile views.
- Turn on Profile view history.
Heads up: You have to be at least 16 and have fewer than 5,000 followers to use this. So if it’s not showing up for you, that might be why.
How to Turn Off Profile Views on TikTok
If you’d rather fly under the radar and not let anyone know you’ve been checking out their page, you can totally shut it off:
- Go to your profile and tap the little eye icon at the top.
- Hit the gear icon to open the settings.
- Switch off Profile view history.
If you turn it off, you won’t see who’s viewing your profile either. It goes both ways.
How to Actually See Who Viewed Your Profile
Once it’s on, it’s super easy:
- Just tap the eye icon on your profile page.
- You’ll see a list of people who’ve viewed your profile in the past 30 days.
But here’s the catch. It only shows people who also have Profile View History turned on. So if someone’s lurking in stealth mode, you won’t see them.
If Profile Views Aren’t Showing Up on Tiktok
Sometimes the feature just doesn’t work. Could be TikTok acting up or something on your end. Try these fixes:
- Make sure you’re eligible (16+ and under 5K followers).
- Update the app seriously, a lot of issues are just from old versions.
- Check your Wi-Fi or data no connection, no feature.
- Clear the cache in your phone settings (under TikTok).
- Reinstall the app if it’s still glitchy.
If nothing works, hit up TikTok support. Might take a while, but it’s worth a shot.
Why Isn’t It Working?
Here’s the usual stuff that messes with it:
- You’re under 16 or have too many followers (annoying, I know).
- The app is buggy which happens more than TikTok wants to admit.
- Weak internet connection TikTok kinda hates slow Wi-Fi.
- You haven’t updated the app in a while.
