How to Transfer the Administrator Role in a Facebook Page?
As we grow older, everything changes. You might start a new business and shut down the old company due to changing circumstances. You can become obsessed with a hobby, or you might be a die-hard Star Wars fan, but then you may lose interest. You can be famous online but then decide to retire. That is why you must know how to transfer your Facebook page’s administratorship to someone else. If you want to transfer the administrator role to a Facebook page, firstly, you should know how to add an admin to a Facebook page because you will follow similar steps.
You may want to transfer Facebook pages to others for various reasons. For example, you need to make a page transfer when you sell your page to a company or someone else. Other than that, you may want to transfer it to another account of your own. Page transferring on Facebook is a natural process, but many users do not fully know the subject.
When you create a Facebook page, you have complete control. You become the default admin of the page and can access features like adding other managers, changing the page settings, and more. These features include transferring page management to someone else. If you don’t know how to do this, you have come to the right place. Contrary to popular belief, the process of transferring accounts is quite simple.
The Management of a Facebook Page
You must first be an administrator to transfer a Facebook account to another account. More than one administrator can exist on a Facebook page, and only the highest authority can make the account transfer. The main page admin ranks are; Manager, Editor, Moderator, Advertiser, and Analyst.
People with analyst authority can only see who shared a post, who commented on behalf of the page, and the page statistics. Advertiser authorizations can create ads for the page in addition to Analyst privileges. In addition to the Analyst and Advertiser privileges, the moderator can make correspondences on behalf of the page. The editor can create and delete page posts in addition to all these powers.
The only remaining role is the Manager. People with this role can access and change all features of the page. Only accounts with administrative authority can perform the account transfer. If the page is yours, but you are not authorized, you need to get the executive power back from others or ask them to do this transferring action for you. You can add an account as an administrator from the Page Tasks section in the Settings section of the page.

Facebook Business Pages
Another alternative to adding a Facebook page manager is to use the Facebook Business Manager page. However, you cannot remove your powers while doing this operation. You can use it to add an administrator or different roles to the page. You can follow these steps to move a Facebook page to another account;
- First, choose your business page and click the settings.
- After logging in, you will see the Add People section on the screen. You can add managers or other positions to your page from this section. You can add roles in this section, mainly Employee, Manager, Finance analyst, and Finance editor.
- You can give the authorization you want by typing the e-mail address of the person you want to authorize.
- The Admin access option must be active if you want the person to be an administrator.
- After clicking the “Add person” and typing the name of a Facebook user, enter your password and send a request.
- When the user confirms the request, accept it.
- Remove the other admins except for the new admin from the same panel.
With this method, after adding another account as an administrator, you can log in to your page with your account. Then you can remove your authority by following the path in the method we described first. Thus, you will no longer have any connection with the page. You can even block the page if you do not want to see it again. If the admin role has been transferred to you, you may buy Facebook Page Likes.
Moving FB Pages in Short
This information summarizes our guide to show how the Facebook page admin role is added and removed. When you want to transfer your page to another account, you can use one of the two methods we explained above. Before you request to transfer your account, you should ensure that someone else is on your Facebook page as an administrator. If there is another manager, the transaction will be successful.

thank you for this useful information. so that means after i have transfer my facebook page to other account, my personal facebook account is safe and they cannot see anything from my facebook account? im I correct?
You are right! No one can see your personal Facebook account.
Hi Dennis. I have a similar problem, though not identical.
I have a personal page that I’ve had for years, but don’t use these days. I also have a page as an author, which I access daily. Somehow, the two have become linked, and whenever I try to interact with my author page, more often than not FB swaps me over to my personal page. This is not helpful.
I tried to delete the personal page, but as soon as I log in on my author page FB reactivates the old one again. They even had different email addresses but that didn’t stop them. Do you know if there is any way to delete the old page?
Hi, thanks for your message. We have another content about deleting a Facebook page.
So if I move a Facebook page to another account, will I be able to use it more efficiently? That sounds like a great feature.
You will no longer be an admin when you move a Facebook page to another account. If you want to continue as an admin, just add a new admin, and don’t remove your account from the page roles. In this way, you will be able to use it more efficiently.
I need to move all content I posted over the years on a FB where I am not owner but have admin status to a new page which will be mine. I have to create that page and worry about using same email address and the likes. Need guidance! I am not sure if I can move the thousands comments with me but at least my hard creative work…
We have an article about how to merge Facebook pages. It can help you. Otherwise, you can not move all of your posts to another page.
Hi,
I have downloaded my Facebook information (posts). It was a zip file containing many files. I want to transfer the information to my new Facebook account. I don’t see any option on my Facebook page to upload\import these files.
Please advise.
You should find the “choose destination” button in the settings. After choosing a destination, you can click “Transfer a Copy of Your Information”.
